This program is
designed to encourage and monetarily fund continuing
education among dealership employees. Each year,
SCADA’s Scholarship Committee has distributed about
$5,000.00 directly to the schools and universities of
the awarded applicants. Established in the mid-1990’s,
this program is 100% funded by member dealers with 0%
administration fees – this means that ALL monies go
DIRECTLY to fund this very worthy program. SCADA has
now passed out about $40,000.00 since the program’s
inception.
In 2001, the Stark
County Automobile Dealers Association presented STARK
STATE COLLEGE FOUNDATION with a $50,000.00 scholarship
endowment called: The Stark County Automobile Dealers
Association (SCADA) Automotive Engineering Technology (AET)
Scholarship. SCADA provided this endowment for the
purpose of awarding scholarships to attract new students
into Stark State’s AET program. The ultimate objective
for this program is to provide local dealers with more
highly trained technicians so that they can better meet
tomorrows growing demand.
